    PokeNova obviously always been as it is now! Here, read through the ever so interesting saga of how I managed to get this far!

    NickoRox

    My friend, Zoë one day showed me her Piczo site and I thought it was "absolutely fantabulous!". I worked hard day and night to update it, but then I quickly bored of blogging.

    Silver Millennium

    After becoming bored of blogging quickly, I created a new Piczo site which had absolutely no theme. It was basically a page with news updates a massive link to the forums, and next to no content! I found it hard to continue with the lack of a theme, so I decided to start my very own Pokémon site!

    Cyndamite

    I decided that I would code my new site in raw HTML. However, I didn't know even the littlest bit of code, so I had to start learning. The site was generally a Serebii clone in layout, although with an orange based layout and then a horribly blue banner made from a dynamic banner web tool. This site never lived to see the light of the World Wide Web.

    S.S. Suicune

    S.S. Suicune was simply another Cyndamite, although with an arguably better name! I also had an "awesome" idea for the banner, but my graphic skills were not very good at all back then, so the site and the motivation behind it quickly fell apart.

    Mt. Pyre

    This was my first website which made it online! Using an extremely modified free DIV layout from Valley of Nightmares, I managed to create a blue and pink themed layout. Unfortunately, the host, Host Ultra’s servers crashed and I lost all of my files seeing as I had no backup. Fortunately, I had been thinking of PokeNova for some time now..

    PokeNova

    After Mt. Pyre was destroyed, I regained my interest in creating a Pokémon fan site. Drawing up my HTML and CSS knowledge which I had gained through the previous websites I had made, I started to make a proper three-columned layout. However, I was clueless as do so. I then used Eonlight Valley's free layout template, and made a suitable averagely good looking layout featuring Dialga and Palkia.

    I then worked on PokeNova behind the scenes, and waiting for it to be somewhat finished before I released it into the public view. Of course, I redesigned the layout numerous times, although I was always using Eonlight Valley's free template, and after redesigning the layout one time I took the credit down. Obviously this was a bad thing, but no one seemed to pick up on it even after PokeNova opened. o_o;;

    PokeNova was then released into the public on the 28th of November, 2007. On the first day, we had just over 100 unique visitors! We had mostly nice comments, but when I advertised PokeNova on TCoD forums, I received comments simply saying that my coding was messy, as well as invalid. It was then that I realised that I would still need to put a majority of my time into making PokeNova, as no webmaster should be completely happy with their site.

    Hopefully soon I'll be able to write more on the history of PokeNova! If you want more, go visit the past layouts page!
