    Pokemon Emerald was the sequel to Pokemonm Ruby and Sapphire. Emerald, was very similar to Ruby/Sapphire except in some ways. These are:

  1. The Pokemon on the Box is Rayquaza, and in the game, Rayquaza takes the place of Kyogre/Groudon.
  2. You can catch Rayquaza before the Elite 4, and catch Kyogre and Groudon after defeating the Elite Four.
  3. Emerald contains a cloning glitch, which obviously clones pokemon.

    But the one major difference is that Pokemon Emerald has a new location called the Battle Frontier. In the battle Frontier, your pokemon can partake in all different sort of challenges. Each area in the frontier has a different style of battling rules, and after defeating a certain amount of trainers, you can earn points, called Battle Points (BP), which you can then spend at one of the stalls to buy items.
